18th Annual Holiday Window Decorating Contest
Get in the holiday spirit, show your support for the downtown district, and bring increased visibility to your business by participating in the Holiday Window Decorating Contest! RSVP by 11/24. Downtown businesses are encouraged to decorate storefront windows and outdoor areas. Restaurants and bars can also decorate their bar areas.
Displays must be family friendly. Be creative, be festive, have fun! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place will be awarded based on the categories of Most Creative and Most Festive. There will be a People's Choice award given based on public voting on Facebook.
Bar Displays will have their own award that will be judged for Best Overall Holiday Decor.
Terms: Businesses must be in the downtown district to be able to participate. You are encouraged to have your window decorated by Saturday, November 25th and ideally stay decorated until at least Wednesday, December 27th. Business owners are asked to submit a photo of their completed decorations to sdelvecchio@mainstreetwaterbury.com to be able to participate in People's Choice voting on Facebook.
1. Displays will be judged by members of the Main Street Waterbury Board by Thursday, December 21 and winners will be announced on social media and a Main Street Waterbury press release on December 29.
at 1st place will be awarded a certificate for display, 1st place ribbon, and a personalized
social media promotional video produced by Main Street Waterbury staff.
bt 2nd and 3rd place will receive a certificate for display, and a ribbon.
ct People's Choice winner will be presented with a certificate for display and special shoutout on Main Street Waterbury's website.
2. Participating businesses will be promoted on Main Street Waterbury social media and Waterbury Regional Chamber social media pages.
4. Let us know if you are running any special holiday promotions, as we would like to include those in our marketing for the 18th Annual Downtown Waterbury Holiday Window Decorating Contest.
5. Decorations must be finished by Saturday, November 25, in preparation for the yearly Tree Lighting on the Green taking place at 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 26.
